Message from Gouvernement🇨🇲
This message is read here by Minjec Mounouna Foutsou. This ceremony is a reaffirmed joint commitment to protect peace, serve the nation through work and defend the homeland.
From the reading, we note some strong points:
”The homeland is a heritage that we must cherish”
Work is not only a duty, but the cornerstone of national development”.
”It is through our work that we contribute to the development of Cameroon”.
Honouring our country means defending its values”.
And to conclude, he says: “Together let us sow the seeds of peace. And let us hold high the dignity of Cameroon”.

“This year’s originality lies in the traditional chieftaincies”.
According to the Minister for Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, this year all the traditional chiefdoms are taking part in this republican ritual.

🇨🇲 A commitment made by all!

✍🏽 The Civics Minute
It is delivered by Marie Ako, an executive at the General Inspectorate of Curricula and Teaching and Training Methods at Minjec, and focuses on Cameroon’s motto of Peace-Work-Patriotism.
In her message, she stresses the importance of integrating the values conveyed by the motto and calls on each member of staff to be a major player in promoting these values and to convey them on a daily basis in order to make young people, particularly those in secondary education, committed to the development of Cameroon.

📸 Ensuring respect for the motto at all times
Chaired by Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga, Minister of Secondary Education, the civic-mindedness minute presented as part of this ceremony comes at just the right time in a context marked by the spread of hate speech and the loss of republican values. In her speech, she invited all Minesec staff to respect and uphold Cameroon’s motto by practising and promoting the values of peace, hard work and honour for the country.

📸 The family photo as a symbol of peace
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga invited all the staff of her ministerial department and those of Minjec to join her in a family photo as a symbol of peace and unity.
